Scottsdale Road at Frank Lloyd Wright Changed Hands This Fall. Here's How the Day Runs Now

November 5, 2026

Between mid-September and early October, three restaurants opened along about a half-mile of Scottsdale Road north of Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard. Each moved into a space that had been something else. A fourth restaurant is set to open next door to one of them. Together they cover the whole day. One serves breakfast and lunch. Two take over for dinner. The Italian place still under construction will add a third dinner option within a short walk.

The handoff between them is tidy. The breakfast room closes at 2 p.m. The two dinner rooms open at 4 p.m., and one of them starts the evening with a happy hour. Once you know how those hours fit together, you can plan a weekday, a weekend morning and a late Friday dinner on this stretch without crossing Frank Lloyd Wright.

Time Where Address
7 a.m. to 2 p.m., daily The Breakfast Table 17757 N. Scottsdale Road, Suite 103
4 to 5 p.m., Wednesday through Sunday KUZA happy hour 17767 N. Scottsdale Road, Suite 100
4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday Quiriego Cocina Rústica 17007 N. Scottsdale Road
4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday, to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday KUZA 17767 N. Scottsdale Road, Suite 100
Fourth-quarter 2026 target Stone & Vine Urban Italian 17001 N. Scottsdale Road

The morning belongs to a father-and-son room

The Breakfast Table held its grand opening on Monday, Sept. 28, in Suite 103 at 17757 N. Scottsdale Road. Forking Scottsdale reported that Ken Vondra and his son own and run it, and that it is the fourth restaurant the two have operated together.

It is open 7 a.m. to 2 p.m., seven days a week. The menu covers breakfast and lunch standards plus cocktails and mimosas, and on weekends there are mimosa flights for the brunch crowd. Its ordering page lists a price range of $15 to $30, which puts a weekday breakfast here well below a dinner check at either of its new neighbors. The phone number is (480) 203-2339.

The 7 a.m. opening matters because it is the only new option on this stretch before late afternoon. When The Breakfast Table closes at 2 p.m., nothing else among the fall openings is serving until 4. Plan any late lunch on this corner around that two-hour gap.

At 4 p.m., the robata grill next door lights up

KUZA sits just up Scottsdale Road from The Breakfast Table, at 17767 N. Scottsdale Road, Suite 100, in the space that used to be Chauncey Social. The Clive Collective opened it on Sept. 16. The kitchen, run by Executive Chef Erik Davila, is built around a robata grill fired with binchōtan charcoal, along with a raw bar and sushi. Forking Scottsdale's opening report said the restaurant brings in seafood from Tokyo twice a week.

From KUZA's menu, three dishes show what the grill and the raw bar do:

  • Chicken Negima off the robata
  • New Caledonia Prawns with a red kosho-yuzu glaze
  • Spanish Octopus with gochujang harissa honey

The hour to know is 4 to 5 p.m. That is happy hour, with $5 bites, $10 highballs and $12 martinis. It begins right when the neighborhood's other new dinner room opens its doors. OpenTable puts a regular KUZA dinner in the $31 to $50 tier and lists patio dining and counter seating. A private dining room seats up to eight.

KUZA's hours shape the rest of the week. It is closed Monday and Tuesday. It runs until 10 p.m. Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday, and until 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday, which makes it the latest kitchen among the new openings here.

Quiriego brings a Sonoran family's first U.S. kitchen to the old Carrabba's

At the southern end of the stretch, 17007 N. Scottsdale Road is the former Carrabba's Italian Grill space. It is now Quiriego Cocina Rústica, a restaurant from Sonora opening its first location in the United States. Forking Scottsdale reported that it opened its doors for a soft opening at the end of September.

In its first-look piece, the same outlet described a family-run restaurant from Sonora led by the Abeyta family, built around live-fire cooking.

Quiriego's menu runs from shareable plates to a centerpiece for the whole table:

  1. Sonoran Pizza, $30
  2. Fideos de la Casa, $28
  3. Cocido Sonorense al Fuego, $43
  4. Pulpo a las Brasas, $45
  5. Tomahawk, $380

OpenTable lists Quiriego in its "$50 and over" tier. Dinner runs 4 to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 4 to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday. You can book through OpenTable or by phone.

Its weekly schedule pairs well with KUZA's. Quiriego is open on Monday and Tuesday, the two nights KUZA is closed, so this stretch has a new dinner room every night of the week. On Fridays and Saturdays, when a meal at Quiriego runs to 10 p.m., KUZA serves for another hour after that.

Stone & Vine is taking the parcel next to Quiriego

The building at 17001 N. Scottsdale Road is next on the list. Stone & Vine Urban Italian is coming to the address right beside Quiriego. It comes from the ownership group behind Sophia's Kitchen on Thompson Peak Parkway and has a fourth-quarter 2026 target. Forking Scottsdale described the group's goal as a casual Italian restaurant that feels "comfortable, familiar, and elevated."

Stone & Vine's own site describes the brand as homemade pasta, wood-fired pizza, seafood and a full bar. That price point fills a gap between The Breakfast Table and the two dinner rooms already open, and the restaurant will sit close enough to Quiriego that two couples could split between them and meet up on foot afterward.

It also makes Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard an Italian stretch this fall. Costa Bella Italian Restaurant opened on Thursday, Oct. 8, at 14692 N. Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard, Suite 147, in the former La Cucina space. Owner Olivier Coscas described it to Forking Scottsdale as a modern Italian concept with imported pasta and seafood.

The same turnover is happening up on Pinnacle Peak Road

North Scottsdale's second cluster of new restaurants this fall is on Pinnacle Peak Road, a short drive north, and one restaurant group is putting two concepts side by side there.

At The Citadel, 8700 E. Pinnacle Peak Road, Suite 115, Chef Sheila Bryson's Soul Hospitality Group is bringing ALMA Southwest Steakhouse into the former Preston's Steakhouse space. Little Scoops, an old-fashioned ice cream parlor from the same group, is going in next door and will connect through Little Snitch. Forking Scottsdale reported that the parlor is designed to stay open later into the evening as a dessert stop for the rest of the Pinnacle Peak corridor. Bryson's group also runs Soul Café, Vic & Ola's and Pescada. ALMA takes reservations on OpenTable, and its phone number is 480-284-6736.

Two more opened on Pinnacle Peak in September, according to PHOENIX magazine's monthly openings list. Il Segreto, at 8900 E. Pinnacle Peak Road, is a fine-dining Italian restaurant with seasonal dishes and a patio. Baan Thai Bistro, at 7605 E. Pinnacle Peak Road, serves Thai food.

Taken together, North Scottsdale's two corridors add up to a full week of new options. The Scottsdale Road stretch near Frank Lloyd Wright covers breakfast and the dinner hours on every night of the week. Pinnacle Peak adds a steakhouse, fine-dining Italian, Thai and a late-evening dessert stop. On a Friday, you could have breakfast at The Breakfast Table at 7 a.m., go for happy hour at KUZA at 4, have dinner at Quiriego, then head back to KUZA before it closes at 11.

When a stretch of Scottsdale changes this quickly, it can change how buyers see the homes within a short drive of it.
